Solving a little problem with his tyres
At first I thought it was just a tree. After all, I could not see clearly from the distance, taking into account that it was three o"clock in the morning. I was really sleepy and the night"s drive was boring. When I approached the strange object, I realised it was realy a car. A small truck in fact. It was stuck somewhere between the road and the ditch. I would say it was hanging on the verge. It wouldn"t have taken much to make it fall down! My first thought was: was there anyone inside the car? But then I saw that it was empty. The driver, looking rather panicked, was standing beside it, waving at me. I stopped and left my vehicle. Then I asked the man what was going on. One of his tyres had skidded on the slippery road (it was quite a rainy night) and the car had moved towards the edge on the road. Then the man had been fighting to move it out of the ditch, all in vain. It was quite easy to solve the problem. The driver was so lucky! The road was deserted at that time of the night. His tyres had created holes in the ground so it was a bit difficult to have him on tow at first, but after a couple of minutes he was already out of the trap. Well, it doesn"t take much to get into trouble like that, especially on slippery roads when you don"t have the right type of tyres.
